Out and about London
Hey Guys, thought I would add some pic's from the weekend. We went and had a look at Greenwich, they had a cool little market with lots of funky things (I find it so hard not to spend money at them), this only guy sold all these cool old stamps! Lots of yummy different kinds of food as well! We went and looked at the old Greenwich Royal Observatory, famous for being the site of the prime meridian, or 0 degrees longitude & the National Maritime Museum etc, so it was a nice day out.
After that we headed to Westfield (the massive shopping complex...that I get lost in every time), anyway they have this really cool Elephant Parade all around London, this big charity event raising money and awareness about saving asian elephants. I thought they looked really cool so I took a few pic's and have attached the link=)

Morocco
Hey Guys, how are you all? time is flying!! Have been meaning to make a post since I got back from Morocco, Amy has kept me updated on different school things!! I'm sure Cat would have filled you in. We were lucky today and got to finish work early because of the England game ha ha. So had a nice walk home in the hot sun, which has decided to come out again!
Morocco was pretty cool even though Greg couldn't come. Had a very full on 5days with my sister!!! It is definitely hard work being a young foreign female in a Muslim country. It was so so hot as well (maybe because we tried to cover up more)!! Anyways we stayed in Marrakech for a couple of night at a really nice Riad, the people were lovely...it was so nice at the end of every day to go back to a quiet relaxing place!! We mainly looked around the city at the main sights and markets etc. It took quite a bit of getting used to, I got sick of all the people hounding you for money and to buy things from them, also all the comments about our butts, boobs etc made me feel like I was naked sometimes(at times it was funny as I think sometimes they didn't know what they were saying)!! We met up with Moa which was awesome (was nice to meet him) it made everything easier when we were hanging out with him!! He showed us around different parts of the city and invited us to his brother wedding celebrations lol!! So we went along and it was female only so we walked into a room of about 40 Muslim women singing and clapping at the new bride...total culture shock! Only a couple spoke a little english so it was mainly sign language happening!! They feed us mint tea and a selection of Moroccan sweets/cakes etc!! The celebrations continued and we then had a meal...sitting around a table of about 10 or so women..no knives and forks or plates and four cooked chickens came out and everyone started ripping bits off..it was pretty funny (they gave me and Ali a small plate and knife and fork haha) Anyways it was really nice to meet them all and awesome to have a good positive experience of the Muslim culture/religion as we always hear so many bad things on TV. It sort of reminded me of being on a marae with all the old women.
Anyway my sister booked tickets to fly out of Fes thinking it was only 4 hours away by train...well it was 7 but turned into 8....the longest train trip ever and so so hot that It made me feel sick the whole way.
We ended up in Fes, stayed in this huge Riad...(the boys down the road told us it was owned by Moroccan mafia haha..it sort of had that feel to it) We didn't really like it there, they people were quite rude etc. We looked around Fes and got very lost so many times as they have so many streets all closed in...which I really didn't like. We meet a nice Moroccan boy who showed us back to our Riad and then took us to his family's restaurant (not really sure it was), so we had a really nice/expensive meal...he then walked us home after (he told me he would give me 2000 camels to marry him haha)
So by the time we got home i was ready for another holiday!!
