Hey guys, hope you had a great week/weekend=) I had four days teaching and more and more work keeps coming up which is good. Had two good schools and two really bad schools that i do not want to go to again. There was no teaching happening it was just crowd control and stopping them from fighting...kinda scary really. Have got one day a week until at least Easter if I want it teaching art to yr 9,10 & 11 year olds at a really nice primary school. So will do that until something else comes up, may also have some work helping out at a little catholic primary school working with some kids with different learning difficulties (still get paid the same)...so might go with that to..will see how things go. Had a day off on Tuesday and the weather was really nice so I thought I better do some sight seeing...went to Westminster...its so pretty...did not do my frottage yet Kaye but had a look around for some good places to do it=)...will do it next time=) Thinking of you guys xox

ReplyDeleteA great photo of you. Teaching can be fun in the Uk. We are getting closer to our new boss arriving. I have just received the proof copy of my invite. I dont know how to post the image into this file but it looks good. The show opens on the 31st of March. that will give me the impetus to load up my own blog site and get it to function. Will write again

Hi Graham..haha thanks it can be fun...it is what you make of it....i just have to get used to all the different cultures...need to do some research=) Exciting about the new boss...cant wait to hear how it goes!! Am glad the invite looks good...have you finished your final print?? Mail can be sent to my parents address: 51 West Bush road Masterton, 5888. My agency are putting me forward for two positions...one teaching art/photography and a P.E position at a really nice girls school and they are both until the end of the year...so could be good...will wait and see...things seem to happen slowly over here!! Have my 1st cold=( so annoying!!.Hope your weeks going fast!!!

Pete and I went into flight centre and booking flights over. Leaving Auckland 27th november and planning to spend 5 nights in London...yeah. We are so going to have to catch up somewhere along the way. It looks like France, Italy, England, Austria and Krackow-(concentration camp, cant spell the name. LOL) Soooo exciting!
News from school: week 6 and feeling really tired. Very busy here, but same old same old...kids actually seem a bit rougher to be honest. Heaps of fights etc. hurry up new principal. His welcoming will be on the 24th march. Just had athletics day. Siobhan broke the 20yr old school javelin record. Bit of a laugh.
Well better go, my only non contact for the day.
Missing you heaps too. I am sure when you get settled at a school you'll meet some cool people to hang with(just a shame they're be poms LOL)

Hey bud...yea working in a pub could be fun...im trying to think about the money when im at the shitty schools etc...just need to plan my first trip for when greg gets here...but its so hard to decide=)
ReplyDeleteYay exciting that you guys are booking flights!!!...deff need to catch up along the way=)...I went to spitalfields market today...and was thinking of how much you girls would love it...u have to go there when you come here...maybe pete and greg could have a boys day while we go there haha=) awesome clothes...jewellery.etc.You will have to fill me in on all the trip details...and if im still in london...you know you guys can stay (my flat mates are pretty cool)
Sounds like it will be good when the new principal arrives...might help calm down some of the kids (i would swap the pommy kids for the kiwi kids any day)..(no offence to pete=) he is one of the cool poms=)
